MINNEAPOLIS, MN, August 2, 1999 Chart/MVE Applied
Technologies will hold a Press Conference introducing
the new environmentally friendly system to dryclean
clothes--"The DryWash(TM) Cleaning Process," on Thursday,
August 5, 1999, at 1:00 p.m. at Nu-Life Cleaners in
Forest Lake, MN. Through an inventive partnership
between the State of Minnesota, MVE, Inc and Nu-Life
Cleaners, we are now able to offer a non-hazardous
environmentally friendly choice for drycleaning customers.
Originally developed to super clean defense weapon
system optics and nuclear components, this liquid
CO2 technology is now being used by Chart/MVE Applied
Technologies for the first time ever in the US in
the demanding environment of an independent drycleaning
shop. The drycleaner is cleaning with CO2 as his primary
solvent at the rate of 500 garments a day going to
the general public. A natural substance, liquid CO2
has none of the environmental or health risks attributed
to perchloroethylene, (perc) or other petroleum based
solvents commonly used in the drycleaning industry.
Witness the technology of the new millennium. Jon
Wikstrom, President of MVE/Chart Applied Technologies
and Al Goracke, owner/operator of Nu-Life cleaners,
will be demonstrating the CO2OL Clean [55] system and
answering any questions attendees may have. Featured
guests also include Los Alamos National Labs, Global
Technologies and the Minnesota Office of Environmental
Assistance. Representatives of state offices will
also be in attendance.
